10. Thinkific and Other Service Providers

FireWise Academy currently uses Thinkific as its online learning platform.

Thinkific and other service providers may process information on FireWise's behalf to provide hosting, learning management, communications, payment, analytics, security or related services.

These providers may maintain systems or subprocessors in Canada, the United States or other jurisdictions. FireWise may use artificial intelligence or automated technologies in appropriate business and educational processes.

FireWise seeks to minimize unnecessary disclosure of personal information to artificial intelligence services and to apply appropriate contractual, technical and administrative controls when such services process information on FireWise's behalf.

FireWise does not intentionally use identifiable learner submissions, assessment records or other private learner information to train publicly available artificial intelligence models unless appropriate authorization and safeguards are in place.

Individuals may request deletion of personal information or withdrawal of consent where applicable.

FireWise may need to retain some information despite such a request where It has a legal, contractual, financial, certification, or other legitimate requirement to retain it.

Deleting information essential to a learner account may make it impossible to continue providing course access or to verify previous training.

18. Learners Outside Canada

FireWise Academy may provide training to learners outside Canada.

Where privacy legislation applicable to a learner provides additional rights, FireWise will address applicable requests and obligations as required.

Learners in jurisdictions such as the European Economic Area may have additional rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain processing.

FireWise maintains procedures for assessing and responding to suspected loss, unauthorized access, use or disclosure of personal information.

Where applicable privacy legislation requires notification or reporting, FireWise will take the steps required under that legislation.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

FireWise may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in legislation, technology, service providers or business practices.

FireWise will publish the current version and revision date on the FireWise Academy website.
